Japanese Anime
Anime are Japanese animated productions featuring hand-drawn or computer animation. Anime includes animated television series, short films and full-length feature films. Anime is the abbreviation of "animation" in Japanese. In English, Anime is a Japanese-disseminated animation style often characterized by colorful graphics, vibrant characters and fantastic themes. The earliest Japanese animation dates to 1917, and many original Japanese animations were produced in the ensuing decades, the characteristic anime style developed in the 1960s—notably with the work of Osamu Tezuka—and became known outside Japan in the 1980s. Anime has a large audience in Japan and is popular throughout the world, like Manga. Distributors can release anime via television broadcasts, directly to video, or theatrically, as well as online. Hand-drawn and computer-animated anime exist and are used in television series, films, video, video games, commercials, and Internet-based releases. Most anime are based on fictional stories and mostly portray some message of life or just entertainment. Anime has recently gained popularity in East and Southeast Asia and many countries of the world outside Asia.

Naruto
Naruto is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Masashi Kishimoto. The anime tells the story of Naruto Uzumaki, an adolescent ninja who constantly searches for recognition and dreams to become the Hokage, the ninja in his village who is acknowledged as the leader and the strongest of all. The series is based on a one-shot comic by Kishimoto that was published in the August 1997 issue of Akamaru Jump. The manga was first published by Shueisha in 1999 in the 43rd issue of Japan's Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine.The manga was later adapted into an anime, which was produced by Studio Pierrot and Aniplex. It premiered across Japan on the terrestrial TV Tokyo network and the anime satellite television network Animax on October 3, 2002. The first series lasted 220 episodes, while Naruto: Shippuden, a sequel to the original series, has been airing since February 15, 2007.

Most of you probably know Pokemon, for it is very popular amoung the youth group and is ongoing. So far the story is about a young trainer named Ash Ketchum, who has a dream of becoming the world's greatest Pokemon

Pokemon was created by Satoshi Tajiri in 1996. Pokemon was origionally made for a video game, but soon became the second most successful video game-based media franchise in the world, just behind the Mario Franchise, owned by Nintendo as well. Pokemon has been sold in cards, games, books, toys, manga, and other media. The name Pokemon means pocket monsters in Japanese. So far, there are about 694 fictional species of Pokemon as the fifth generation in Unova appeared. Pokemon is much like Naruto because it's not only popular in Japan, but also around the world.

InuYasha
Inu Yasha is another famous anime. Inu Yasha is about a girl named Kagome who travels back to the Feudal era by a demon who pulls her down the well on her 15th birthday. Not long after she meets a half dog demond named Inu Yasha who she later accompanies to find Sacred Jewel Shards, shards that contain the power to make you stronger. Inu Yasha and his gang; Miroku, Sango, Kagome, Shippo, and Kirara journey together in the Fuedal Fairytale to slay demonds, find Jewel Shards, and bring Naraku to justice. Inu Yasha is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Rumiko Takahashi. It began in 1996 and ended in 2008 and is about Inu Yasha and Kagome who travel to retrieve lost Jewel Shards in the Sengoku period. The manga was published in North America by Viz Media with all of its 56 volumes having already been released. The manga was adapted into two anime television series produced by Sunrise. The first was broadcasted for 167 episodes on Yomiuri TV in Japan from October 16, 2000 until September 13, 2004 and was directed by Masashi Ikeda for the first forty-four episodes and by Yasunao Aoki for the remainder. The second series, called InuYasha: The Final Act , began airing October 3, 2009 to cover the rest of the manga series and ended on March 29, 2010. Viz Media licensed the two anime series, having released the former in DVD volumes and aired most of its episodes. A total of four feature films and an original video animation have also been released. Inu Yasha is still popular and is watched by its adoring fans.
